MOPS stands for Mothers of Pre-schoolers and is a place where all mums with babies, toddlers and preschool children can come together to connect, share, be refreshed and encouraged, all whilst enjoying a hot coffee! Motherhood is a rewarding but also challenging journey and sometimes we just need space to stop, talk or enjoy time connecting with other mums going through the same thing. At St Alfred’s we welcome you to join us on a Thursday morning, every fortnight during the term, from 9.30 until 11.30 am for a time of connection, inspiration, encouragement, morning tea and craft. All volunteers of this program have a Working With Children check and you can read our Child Safe Policy here.
Welcome: Sign your kids into MOPS KIDS*, grab yourself a hot tea or coffee and head into the mums’ room to chat with other mums.
Meeting: Enjoy this child-free time to listen to a speaker on a topic relevant to womanhood, parenting or children and have fun making a simple craft.
Connection: Enjoy some adult conversation with other women, connecting over experiences, ideas and dreams, make new friends and enjoying morning tea.
While you are enjoying two hours of food, fun and conversation, your little ones are lovingly cared for to allow you some child-free time.
We have a babies room (ago 0-1), toddler room (age 1-2) and pre-schooler room (age 2+). An amazing group of men and women care for your children and engage them in indoor and outdoor play, singing, creative activities and stories (including age-appropriate Bible stories). The carers follow the routines you outline for your child and morning tea is provided for the children.
If you would love to find out more and join us for a relaxed morning, please contact the St Alfred’s Office on (03) 9894 1781 and they will put you in touch with the MOPS Coordinator who will contact you directly.
We look forward to meeting you!
