International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD)
This is a United Nations sanctioned day that aims to promote an understanding of people with disability and encourage support for their dignity, rights and well-being. It is held on Dec 3 each year. The Australian Government has been supporting IDPwD since 1996 and provides funds to promote the day around Australia. See http://www.idpwd.com.au
