StAKs (St Alfred’s Kids) is an age-appropriate program for children in pre-school, primary and early high school that runs during the Sundays at 10am service. Sessions include elements of Bible study / teaching, prayer and group activities such as games, craft and a memory verse. In all groups, we hope children see St Alfred's as a place they are cared for and valued.

StAKs is made up of the following groups:

Little StAKs (for children aged three to Grade 1)
Big StAKs (for children in Grades 2 to 5)
StAKs On (for children in Grade 6 to Year 8)
Quiet StAKs (an alternative quiet space for StAKs aged children)

StAKs is overseen by Ross Curnow, our Children and Families Minister, and Naomi Bird, assistant Children and Families Minister. All leaders of this program have a Working With Children check and you can read our Child Safe Policy here.

What to expect:

Children stay in the auditorium with their parents for the first part of the service, leaving for their StAKs program before the sermon. While parents do need to register their children for the program, this can be done on the day by speaking to one of the relevant staff or StAKs leaders.

There is creche available where toddlers and babies can be supervised by their parents.
